Welcome to the SPEED/STILL studio. The home of automotive artist, Terence Ross.

After having been taught how to sharpen a pencil correctly at the London Collage of Printing and the Royal Collage of Art, Terence spent far too long working in London’s top advertising agencies persuading people to buy stuff they didn’t really need.

Employed as an Art Director and later as a Creative Director, he worked in some of the best creative departments on the planet. All that time was spent developing the skills required to seek out original ideas. Original in both thought and execution.

So when deciding to change paths and become an Artist proper, he had firmly installed the right principles required to create great original automotive art.

The big bike sculptures came first, one of the sculptures, the ‘Austin Powers’ Rossi Honda was exhibited as part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition back in 2007. Since then, a further two entries have made it past the Academicians.

Whilst working on expanding the large bike collection, Terence also created the smaller Speed Freaks collection. A range of 60 or so smaller cars, bikes and figures were developed, sculpted and mass-produced over a 10 year period. These wild and wacky editions were sold to petrol-heads the world over. Production of this range stopped at the end of 2013.

Having drawn a line under the Speed Freaks range, never happy with the finish of the mass produced products, The decision was made to create a much more detailed collection of smaller editions.

Now offered as unique SPEED/STILL one-off’s, you’ll find them all in the newly titled Car Sculpture section.

If all of the above doesn’t keep Terence busy enough, you’ll find him in his studio glued to the screen of his Mac working on the latest back-lit image.

You’ll find further information and images relating to each and every type of edition created by clicking on the new menu bar to the right. And if that’s not enough, for the very latest info on everything SPEED/STILL click on the new facebook link.
